In 1957 Rudolph J. Hoffman purchased a saw mill for $1,500. The purchase included one mule, two employees, and two army trucks. Shortly after the purchase, the facility was moved 4 miles to its current location. Rudolph worked two jobs until 1959, then he decided to manage the saw mill full time. Now almost 50 years later, the facility has grown in many ways. (Saw mill in late 1950's)	(R. J. Hoffman Founder) For nearly 50 years R J Hoffman & Sons has been known for its high quality manufacturing of kiln dried lumber, green lumber, veneer logs, Dimensions S4S, moulding and flooring. Since we are located in Central PA, we are fortunate to have an abundant supply of high quality wood.

Quality manufacturing of kiln dried lumber, MC 6-8%, Veneer Logs, Dimensions Lumber S2S, S4S, Moulding and Flooring are our specialties. The predominate species that we have to offer are: Ash, Beech, Birch, Cherry, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, Pine, and Walnut. Our beautiful Pennsylvania black cherry woods are a high-demand product and can end up as a dining room table in Italy, Poland, Canada, or in dozens of other countries.
